Laying optical cables in concealed trenches

This Recommendation describes the so-called mini-trenching technique, that allows the installation in small trenches of underground optical cables in ducts or directly buried copper cables. Underground cables are pulled in conduit that is buried. When laying optical cables or cables in the same trench, they should be pulled and laid separately at the same time. Preference will be given for Horiz ntal Directional Drilling (HDD) wherever. 1.
